The Levin Law Group, P.C. is committed to facilitating conflict resolution regardless of the subject matter. We provide this service through two well accepted modes of alternative dispute resolution: mediation and arbitration. These services are delivered primarily by Alan F. Levin, though there are two well experienced back-up mediator/arbitrators readily available. Mr. Levin was one of Texas’ earliest certified mediators. In over 8,500 mediations serving many thousands of attorneys and their respective clients, he has become one of the most experienced mediator/arbitrators in our State. He enjoys challenging cases and cherishes the many friendships he has established with attorneys all over the country but especially in Texas. Mr. Levin mediates regularly Monday through Friday of each week and will occasionally accommodate parties on a weekend. Given sufficient advance notice, he will travel to serve the convenience of the parties. He has mediated or arbitrated in many locations all around the country. His first love is mediation, but he is happy to provide binding arbitration services either as the sole arbitrator or as a panel member.
Mediation fees are customized for each case based upon several criteria such as the number of parties, the type of case, the number of people attending, the anticipated amount of pre-mediation telephonic dialogue, the quantity of advance submission reading and the amount in controversy. Mr. Levin takes each and every case very seriously. He religiously prepares for each mediation by reading the materials submitted. He often contacts the attorneys prior to the day of mediation to review important issues and obtain further information. As a courtesy, the Firm has adopted the policy of providing a 50% discount of the total mediation fee when cancellation occurs within two weeks of the scheduled mediation date. Outside the two weeks, there is no penalty for cancellation.
Arbitration fees are typically based upon per diem rates for actual trial time ($550.00 per hour) with separate hourly rates for such services as conference calls, study time, award preparation and research ($450.00 per hour).
Dates are reserved by calling our scheduling assistant who regularly works with attorneys to identify a suitable date which works for everyone involved. To that end, callers are provided three (3) dates at a time until just the right date is selected. Confirmation and fee letters will follow.
The Levin Law Group, P.C. has served approximately 18,000 attorneys over the last twenty-six years.
